The Process of Restoring Your House After a Major Water Damage

Water damage can be a traumatic experience. Not only is your home flooded, but often your possessions are damaged as well. In some cases, the damage is so severe that you have to move out of your house while the repairs are carried out.

A big storm came through the area and caused major flooding in the neighborhood. The homeowner came from work to find several inches of water in the hallway and throughout the first floor.

After the assessment, our team determined that the water had come up from the floor and got to work immediately. We started by removing all the water from the house using special pumps and vacuums. Once the water was gone, we could start on the real work of Richardson Mold Remediation and house restoration.

This included tearing out the damaged carpet, drywall, and insulation. We treated the wood floors and walls for mold and mildew. Once the house was dried out and all the damaged materials were removed, we could start putting everything back together.

We replaced the drywall, insulation, and carpet. We also installed new baseboards and crown molding.

If you ever experience water damage in your home, don't hesitate to call SERVPRO of Richardson. We are experts in water damage restoration, and we will get your home back to normal as quickly as possible.
